Grentos breeds vegetable and fruit seeds through cross-pollination and advanced breeding methods for the markets, resulting in innovative varieties to enhance crop yields, improve nutrition, reduce chemical inputs and create better taste and appearance of fruits.

& DEVELOPMENT
Grentos invests over 10% of its annual seed revenue in research to improve fruits and vegetables. They make thousands of crosses each year to develop new varieties, using a wide spectrum of wild relatives and current varieties. They fight against diseases, developing disease-resistant varieties that reduce chemical use and environmental impact.
Their research team analyzes components in fruits and vegetables to improve flavor and nutrition. Biotechnology enables the transfer of specific traits from related seeds or unrelated species, enhancing seed quality to meet fast population needs.
